A very nice condition Major-size Vacumatic fountain pen in burgundy pearl that has a steel lock-away filler and gold-plated trim; there is little or no plating wear on the bands, the tassie ring, or the clip. There are no cracks or splits and virtually no scratches either; the blind cap tassie is burgundy stripey and the clip tassie is black. The pen has been stripped, cleaned, had a new diaphragm fitted, reassembled, adjusted, and write tested. The nib is a fine grade single-colour 14ct gold, and I would think, original to the pen; it writes nicely. The imprint is very readable and better than it looks in the picture. Please note this imprint has 'Reg Tm, Other Patents Pending' which I feel is unusual.
